Wisdom From The Past-Qui tacet consentit

Posted on April 25, 2012 by Jim Herrera in Small Business

Greetings!

Part of my educational background is the study of Latin. Yes, Latin! I know, I know it’s a “dead” language and nobody uses it. Why bother? Well, it turns out that the culture that used the language has a significant amount of knowledge and wisdom that can be applied to today. So, from time to time, I’ll put these little nuggets out. If you take a brief moment, you’ll see how they might benefit you and your business.

Today’s wisdom: Qui tacet consentit – Silence gives consent.

Clearly we know that our actions have consequences. But our inaction (silence) also has consequences. Be aware of what you are avoiding. What are the consequences you may have from your silence.

To your success!
